And the winner is...

Happy Bloggey-birthday to me - and so on. I will not annoy you with my awful singing. Today is the big day - actually it was more like Saturday but whose counting! I picked a name out of my hat and the winner is .... drumroll please... Petra! Congratulations! I'm going to send you an e-mail and will discuss what kind of yummy thing I'm going to get you from Rhinebeck.

I know you've all been waiting with baited breath to find out how I faired in the Sock Wars. I managed to kill Joni within the first week. Then I waited for my new weapon. And I waited. And waited. Went on a quest to find out who was supposed to send me these socks in progress, and waited. Turns out every target down the line was killing of their target right before they got killed themselves. I just kept waiting. Until yesterday when Jessica put me out of my misery. Death has never been so sweet.

Last but not least for your entertainment may I present ... The Worlds Ugliest Excuse For Yarn! Made by little ol' me. It's a yarn only a mother could love full of hard little overspun bits and soft little underspun bits. It is truly crap - but I love it! Now I'm off to make some more - practice, practice, practice!!

Comments:
Look at you go.

I won! I won!
Sorry you got killed.

Yay! Your de-lurking contest may have outted Petra, but it's her winning goodies and bragging (Ha) that brought me here. (She's a close knit-bud.) Have a great time at Rhinebeck!

At death by those socks ain't so bad... they're loverly (and they look warm)! And your yarn is.... well, at least you love it. (ha ha ha!)

Awww... u got killed but how cute are those sox?!
Enjoy Rhinebeck - I'm soooo jealous!

PS: I'll send your parcel this week - you gotta SLAM (at least once). x

duuuuude, don't be hatin' on the yarn. and you still can't blame me. just because i put roving and a spindle in your hands doesn't make me responsible; you can choose whether or not to use it. it was inevitable that you'd go over to spinning.
damn, that pagoda red is pretty...!
